COSON v Emerging Markets Telecommunications (Etisalat) - copyright infringement

COSON has filed a lawsuit of NGN12B against Emerging Markets Telecommunications Services Ltd, the parent company of ETISALAT at the Federal High Court, Lagos.
In the suit no. FHC/L/C3/363/17, COSON is asking the court for four different declarations of copyright infringement against ETISALAT flagship centres within Nigeria and for Etisalat to deliver and forfeit to COSON all infringing copies of the Plaintiff.
The suit comes up after an earlier 11 billion Nigerian Naira (35 million US Dollar) suit filed in 2016 by COSON against ETISALAT was struck out.
